Highlights and Updates
Because it’s been forever since I last posted a blog there are a LOT of things to update everyone on. November was a ridiculously busy month for us and we have a lot of pictures to show for it. So I’ve gone through and picked out a few pictures from each thing that we did and I’ll do little quick highlights here so you can all be up to date on everything before we fill this with pictures of Parker:) 2 weeks and counting….
We had a bunch of friends come into town when the Lions were here playing the Panthers on November 16. It was great to see everyone and tailgate before the game:)
The next weekend Jared and I dropped the dogs off at a neighbor’s and headed out for a “babymoon” to enjoy one last weekend alone and away before our lives get crazy. We went to Wilmington, NC. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. Maybe we can make a tradition of all the grandparents and families coming out and renting a beach house with us in the summers once Parker is here!
For Thanksgiving that week we had both of our families, minus Corey, here. The soon-to-be-uncles bonded over Nintendo DS in the last picture.
The following Wednesday we came home from work to a gas leak where a drunk driver had driven over our lawn and hit the house, knocking the gas meter off. So we had to pack as fast as we could while fire trucks and police cars were surrounding our house and get us and all the animals to a hotel. The hotel stay ended up being just over a week long. Not something we had wanted to be doing when we are trying to get ready for Christmas and a baby! Here are a couple of the pipes and our lawn and then one of everything once it was finally finished. Also I added a couple of our hotel and then a cute one of Jared and our neighbor, Gunnar, at the baby shower the neighbors threw us that week.
Now that we are *finally* back in the house we are trying to get back to normal. We went out and bought a Christmas tree yesterday and now the house smells really nice and looks somewhat festive…
I thought I’d add an update on Parker’s room. We still need to finish cleaning it up, but we’ve made a lot of progress!
Last but not least, we finally took more belly pictures of me last night. So here I am at 38 weeks, VERY ready to meet our little girl
That’s about it I think. Everything’s been going well now that we are back home. It’s kind of a waiting game now. We will keep you all updated once our little one is here!
