Shower at Sudi’s
We had another great shower yesterday and got more great gifts! Somehow it ended up being a perfect day out and we were able to hang out in Sudi’s beautiful backyard for the whole shower. Here are pictures from the day:

It’s been a while since we took any belly pictures of me so we took some last night. I’m 31 weeks along today.
Jared and I took a childbirth class this weekend. We watched a couple videos of live births which grossed everyone out. It was interesting to learn more about exactly what we might go through on the big day. I feel a little more prepared now:) I can’t believe how close we are getting. The weeks are starting to really fly by.
Everything is going great and besides the discomforts of having my insides constantly kicked and my organs used as punching bags I feel great!
Thank you so much to everyone who made it to our showers this past weekend! We loved seeing everyone and can’t wait to start using all of our great new gifts for Parker!! Here are some pictures from the weekend including the Saturday shower in Dryden, the Sunday shower in Northville, and then some from Sunday night trying to figure out how to pack everything up to fit in the car, out at Deadwood, and the dogs playing around.
Thanks again!
Since we NEVER EVER have pictures of the two of us anymore, I thought I’d post one that we finally took last weekend while tailgating in downtown Charlotte for the Panters game:
Also, we went to Flannery’s dedication yesterday at April and Jeremy’s church so here are some pictures from that. There are some of April and Jeremy and Flannery, and then some of all of us. Then Jared practices holding the baby. The last picture shows Flannery giving Jared a funny look after he gave her back to her daddy:)
The weiner dog races were rained out today, but fortunately Parker’s crib was delivered yesterday so we had something to do with our afternoon anyway:) We had the neighbor, Gunnar, over to help for the beginning and then Jared finished it up. Everything is looking good and really coming together!
Hey everyone:)
Just a few updates with pictures. We keep putting off sending the pictures of all of our new little projects so I figured I’d post everything here. So here are some pictures showing what we’ve been up to lately.
First is our master bedroom that we finally chose a paint color for. The bed doesn’t normally look so awful… Our comforter was getting too hot so we are using an old duvet cover instead.
We also finally agreed on a couch for the living room. Included in those pictures are some of the pets in their favorite new spot now that the window is all opened up for them. The couches aren’t exactly in those positions anymore but you can at least see what they look like.

Maybe our next project can be to find things to decorate all of our walls…
Took a couple more pictures tonight. Tomorrow I will be 24 weeks. Starting to look more and more pregnant:) Sorry I look so horrible and unhappy in the pictures! They are just bad shots I guess:(
Today we FINALLY found a couch we really agree on and were able to buy it. It’s a sleeper sofa so there will still be room for visitors to sleep here even tho we are giving up one of our guest rooms for Parker. So everyone should come visit!
Here are some side views of my belly over the weeks. It shows me at 7 weeks, 17 weeks, and 21 weeks. The most recent one at 21 weeks is 2 weeks old already so I’ve grown a bit more. Now that we have figured out our new camera we should be able to get more pictures up when we take them:)
Well I finally got around to uploading Parkers ultrasound video from July 15th.
Well we had our BIG ultrasound on Tuesday, July 15th. I am only 16 weeks along, but they were able to check all the major things they needed to check. So her brain is measuring just right and looks great, her heart looks great, her upper lip looks great, her kidneys and bladder look great, her hands and feet look great…. So we have a healthy baby!! No more ultrasounds now unless we need one for some reason, or if the midwives are nice and let us take another peak for fun at 28 weeks. She was also able to tell Jared that it’s a GIRL which completely shocked me when he told me later (I wanted Jared to be the one to tell me and not the doctors or nurses so I had them keep it a secret from me while we were there and he told me once we were home) because I have been expecting a boy all along. Her name will be Parker:) Most likely, Parker Rae. Jared is very excited to have his little princess and I am very excited for a little baby girl. It’ll take a little time to get used to the idea that I will one day have a teenage girl on my hands….:) So here are the pictures we came home with. There are a few that the nurse gave us doubles of, but we just threw them all in anyway. She’s looking like a real baby now!! She’s measuring about 9 centimeters which is good for her “age”. In some you can see her sucking her thumb, or possibly picking her nose as the nurse suggested. Then she kept lounging back and relaxing and not showing us if she was a girl or boy at first and so there are one or two of her with her arm bent and her hand behind her head as if she’s relaxing back. The last few are basically impossible to make out, but the really blurry ones seem to have a face on the right side looking off to the right (creepy!) and the last one is the one where she says it’s a girl.
Everything is going great with us and now that I’m in my 2nd trimester I’m not feeling any of the sickness anymore. I’m starting to show a little bit, but still not obvious to anyone who doesn’t know me. Pants are getting pretty tight:)
We’ll keep everyone updated whenever we get more news!!
